This Scoping Study on Integration of Poverty and Sustainability into National Development Planning is a Vietnam country report which aims at assembling evidence on the extent to which integrated approaches and a transition to a more inclusive, greener economy have been adopted in Vietnam, and the key challenges, bottlenecks and constraints faced. The soping study has a clear focus on the mechanisms in place throughout the planning process to develop and implement integrated apparoches, the challenges faced and opportunities to move towards an inclusive green economy.
The study has found that there is no existing Voluntary Carbon Standard (VCM) in Vietnam but that opportunities exist for poverty reduction projects to derive a source of funding from the international VCMs.
