Akylai Muktarbek kyzy, Director of M.Sc. in Economics Program and Acting Director of Center for Environment and Development at the American University of Central Asia.
Akylai Muktarbek kyzy directs the Center for Environment and Development (CED AUCA), which coordinates the activities of an alliance among Kyrgyz universities to promote education and research for green economy and sustainable development. She has been involved in a number of regional research projects related to poverty and development, migration and human capital, energy and water resource management.
Akylai Muktarbek kyzy is a PhD Candidate at Norwegian University of Life Sciences, School of Economics and Business. She teaches research methods and applied econometrics at the American University of Central Asia and directs the M.Sc. in Economics Program. She also previously served as a consultant at the Economic Research Center of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic. Her research interests include gender economics and the impact assessment of development programs.
