The Indonesian Green Entrepreneurship Program (IGEP) aims at supporting and building the capacity of ILO constituents and relevant national partners in Indonesia to better discuss and develop policies generating green, decent employment and environmental sustainability. IGEP is a set of multi-level activities helping to reduce poverty via sustainable economic growth, job creation, local economic development of micro, small and medium enterprises in Indonesia through green entrepreneurship. The ILO would also like to use IGEP experience for replication and adaptation in other Asia-Pacific countries.
The main activities of the project include the development and implementation of an Indonesian-based "Start Your Green Business" (SYGB) toolkit and training scheme, increasing awareness among stakeholders through university incubators/business development services (BDS) on green entrepreneurship, and promoting an enabling environment with key institutions and national/international partners through the launch of an Indonesian Green Entrepreneurship Forum to build a tripartite dialogue on green entrepreneurship.
