Korea has learned valuable lessons applicable to sustainable economic development through its journey from a low-income country in the 1960s to one of the most dynamic emerging economies in the world. Korea positioned its program of resource management and climate change as an opportunity for green growth, and implemented innovative technology and institutional approaches in a phased approach. This 4-part video series aims to introduce Korea's green growth macro policy, institutional operational policies and practices, and implementation approaches in the areas of solid waste management, urban regeneration, new town development, and emission trading scheme in order to help countries around the globe learn and share Republic of Korea's practical green growth knowledge experience.
