The Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE) has emerged as one of the United Nations Systems’ principal responses to the call at Rio+20 for the international community to assist interested countries in developing, adopting and implementing inclusive green economy policies and strategies. PAGE deploys the expertise and broad convening power of five UN agencies –ILO, UNEP, UNIDO, UNITAR and UNDP – to offer coordinated and complementary support to countries as they prepare for one of the most pressing challenges of the 21st century: transforming their economies into drivers of sustainability, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.
PAGE aims to put sustainability at the heart of economic policymaking and practices to advance the 2030 Agenda and Paris Agreement on Climate Change. 4 years ago, many countries have embarked on the journey to Green Economy: now, PAGE is currently supporting 13 countries and provinces-states and aims to support up to 20 countries over 7 years until 2020. Let’s travel to some of these countries!
In this video, you will travel to Mongolia, Senegal and Peru and meet some of the key change agents who are contributing to the transition to Green Economy in their countries.
