On 16-19 September 2018, the Alfred Toepfer Academy for Nature Conservation and Colorado State University in collaboration with the Leibniz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research and the WWF are hosting the Human Dimensions of Fisheries and Wildlife Conference in Goslar, Germany.
The Pathways - Human Dimensions of Fisheries and Wildlife Conference is a conference and training program designed to address the myriad of issues that arise as people and wildlife struggle to coexist in a sustainable and healthy manner. The inclusion of social science research into conservation and wildlife management provides new perspectives to increase management effectiveness.
The conference's key target audiences are scientists, governmental and non-governmental natural resource managers, stakeholder groups, especially land and water users/land owners, and other practitioners in the field. It wants to attract enthusiastic presenters and trainers allowing professionals to participate and engage with like-minded professionals across national, state, and institutional boundaries.
We are proposing four major content categories for thematic orientation:
