Ryan Parmenter is a Policy Analyst in the OECD Environment Directorate. He works with the Head of Division for Green Growth and Global Relations in managing the mainstreaming of green growth work across the OECD’s work programme. Ryan is a Canadian government official currently on a two year assignment with the OECD. Prior to the OECD, he has held senior policy positions with Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada as well as Natural Resources Canada. These positions involved working on complex policy and program files related to contaminated sites, climate change, energy and the environment. Before joining the government, he held positions with non-governmental organisations including the Conference Board of Canada. Ryan is Canadian national and holds an undergraduate degree in biology and geography and a Masters of Environmental Science from the University of Calgary.
