DREI is an innovative, quantitative framework to assist policymakers to cost-effectively promote private sector investment in renewable energy in developing countries. The report is accompanied by a financial Excel tool on mini-grid sizing and levelised costs.

Recognising that this nexus is central to achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, it calls attention to the need for an integrated approach to infrastructure planning and development to mainstream biodiversity in the infrastructure sector.
