Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE) has developed the Integrated Green Economy Modelling (IGEM) Framework that aims to better respond to countries’ needs in terms of analysing the cross-sectoral impacts of green economy policies. The IGEM framework presents a methodology on how to integrate three of the main modelling techniques (SD, CGE and IO-SAM) used for green economy policy assessment to refine impact analysis of green policies and investments in the economy.

This report is intended for an audience of policymakers with technical expertise in modelling frameworks, and who are interested in assessing the effects of green policies on the economy, environment and society within their national context. The paper introduces the modelling tools that have been used to date for Green Economy Policy Assessments (GEPA) and highlights the need for a new integrated model, presenting an application of the IGEM framework to the case of Mexico.

In October 2017, the GGKP held a webinar focused on the IGEM Framework - a full recording is available here
