Teis Hansen is Senior Lecturer at the Department of Human Geography, Lund University, and Senior Researcher at the Nordic Institute for Studies in Innovation, Research and Education (NIFU) in Oslo. Teis has core research expertise in the relationship between innovation, sustainability, policy, and globalization. His research focuses on the importance of spatial aspects of innovation processes for sustainability transitions; transformative innovation policy; the role of innovation in the bioeconomy; and on the position of emerging economies in global innovation processes within the field of renewable energy. He currently leads a M€2.2 project on regional green growth in the Nordic countries, titled “Where does the Green Economy Grow? The Geography of Nordic Sustainability Transitions”.
