John Moorhead advises on solutions to climate change for a more sustainable future (reducing pollution, healthier and safer lives, better and more jobs). He is an advocate for putting a price on carbon, science-based targets and solutions including Project Drawdown -100 solutions to reverse climate change - and The Solutions Project -100% electrification by 100% renewable energy.
In collaboration with Thomson Reuters and CDP he has co-authored 7 reports on private sector greenhouse gas emissions. These reports focus on the biggest emitters (and value chains). The reports help quantify and understand who is responsible for most emissions and their recent performance (e.g. so public and private sectors can best partner to reduce and eliminate them). John’s focus is that these metrics and others (such as Science Based Targets, maturity curves, decarbonisation, socio-economic outcomes and decoupling rates etc) be more systematically used by governments, management and investors to achieve a sustainable, zero and net zero carbon economy.
John’s career spans 30 years in management, coaching & consulting in Switzerland, the US and Mexico. He is a Geneva School of Business Administration (DAS), IE Business School (MBA) and Cambridge University (MA) Biology graduate.
