Christian Viegelahn

Christian Viegelahn works as an Economist in the Research Department of the International Labour Organization (ILO) in Geneva. His current research focuses on trade, global supply chains, and its interactions with the labour market. Christian published his research in peer-reviewed journals, and contributed several chapters to ILO flagship reports, including the World Employment and Social Outlook and the Global Employment Trends report. He also coordinates research projects related to the production of new labour market indicators. Christian holds a PhD in Economics from the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium. Before joining the ILO in 2011, he also worked for the OECD.
