Antoine Mandel is Professor of Applied Mathematics at Panthéon-Sorbonne University (Paris 1) and Research Fellow at the Paris School of Economics. Previously, he has been a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Potsdam Institute for Climate impact research. His works focus on the development of mathematical and computational models of socio-economic dynamics in the context of climate change using methods from complex systems and mathematical economics. He has worked in particular on the assessment of green growth prospects in Europe, the evaluation of climate risks for the financial system, the diffusion of low-carbon technologies or the analysis of carbon markets. His work has been published in journals such as Nature Climate Change, Mathematics of Operations Research or the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control. He also has recently an edited a book “Penser le changement climatique/Thinking about Climate Change” (in French), which provides an interdisciplinary perspective on the social challenges posed by climate change.
