Since 2004, the Mario Molina Center for Strategic Studies on Energy and the Environment has been a leading independent research center in Mexico, founded by Nobel Prize in Chemistry, Dr. Mario Molina. Its mission is to design result-oriented public policy recommendations to solve complex challenges related to our five key areas of research: sustainable energy, sustainable cities, climate change, environmental health & air quality, and education.

The Center strives to generate consensus amongst all segments of society, thus enabling the implementation of both technically and economically feasible measures that contribute to social wellbeing. This implies actions which transcend knowledge-making and involves engaging decision makers to ensure that the Center's proposals and research turn into realistic solutions.
