The SDG Climate Action Nexus tool (SCAN-tool) is designed to provide high-level guidance on how climate actions can impact achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It is meant to support policy makers across different departments and state levels, to achieve greater policy coherence and to improve the efficiency of implementation by providing them with an initial indication of which climate actions may impact -positively or negatively- specific SDG targets.

This new analysis What's on the Table? Mitigating Agricultural Emissions While Achieving Food Security shows that reducing emissions through changes in farming practices alone will not be enough to limit global warming to 1.5°C, but changing our diets and reducing food waste could make significant additional reductions, which calls for a much more holistic approach.
The Climate Change Performance Index is an instrument designed to enhance transparency in international climate politics. Its aim is to put political and social pressure on those countries which have, up until now, failed to take ambitious action on climate protection.
For the past 13 years, the Climate Change Performance Index (CCPI) has been keeping track of countries’ efforts in combating climate change. The varying initial positions, interests and strategies of the numerous countries make it difficult to distinguish their strengths and weaknesses and the CCPI has been an important tool in contributing to a clearer understanding of national and international climate policy.
The Climate Action Tracker (CAT) is an independent scientific analysis produced by three research organisations tracking climate action and global efforts towards the globally agreed aim of holding warming below 2°C, since 2009.
