The GGKP and managing partners have issued a call for paper contributions on important challenges, insights, and innovations and solutions for dramatically scaling up sustainable energy.

P4G – Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 – is calling for applications to the P4G State-of-the-Art Partnership Awards 2019. The awards celebrates the world’s most innovative public-private partnerships that have achieved measurable success in five focus areas: food and agriculture, water, energy, cities, and the circular economy. The winners from each sector and the 2019 partnership of the year will be announced at a high-level P4G award luncheon in New York City on 23 September 2019 on the sidelines of the UN Climate Action Summit 2019.

Today, at the Spring Meetings of the World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund, Finance Ministers from more than twenty countries launched a new coalition aimed at driving stronger collective action on climate change and its impacts. The newly formed Coalition of Finance Ministers for Climate Action endorsed a set of six common principles, known as the “Helsinki Principles,” that promote national climate action, especially through fiscal policy and the use of public finance.
Call for Applications
A new environmental classification system is the first to fully categorise both the renewable and non-renewable resources that provide benefits to people and the economy. This depth of information will provide a consistent ‘language’ for decision makers at all levels in the public and private sectors to consistently manage nature, as well as the services it provides.

Applied Energy has issued a call for papers that focus on methods to measure to what extent countries can industrialize while developing a sustainable energy sector and improving inclusiveness. The paper will feature in a special issue of the journal on "Inclusive and sustainable industrial development and measurement approaches for energy transformation". The deadline to submit manuscripts is 30 September 2019.
