The Green Growth Knowledge Platform (GGKP) is seeking an experienced, dynamic and innovative Programme Management Officer to support the development and launch of the Green Industry Platform. 


About GGKP

The GGKP is a global network of 60 international organisations, research institutes, and think tanks committed to collaboratively generating, managing and sharing knowledge and data, established in 2012 by the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the United Nations Environment Programme (UN Environment) and the World Bank.
Building on the success of its initial policy-oriented web platform, the GGKP is developing and launching two additional web platforms focused on the green industry and green finance communities: the Green Industry Platform and the Green Finance Platform. 



Under the direct supervision of the Head of the GGKP Secretariat and overall supervision of the Chief of the Resources and Markets Branch, the Green Industry Platform Programme Management Officer will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop, implement and manage activities linked to the Green Industry Platform as follows: Participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of the "Green Industry Platform"; monitor and analyze the project development and implementation; review relevant documents and reports; identify problems and issues to be addressed and proposes corrective actions; liaise with relevant parties; identify and track follow-up actions.
  • Perform consulting assignments, in collaboration with the clients (namely business associations), by planning and facilitating workshops, through other interactive sessions and assisting in developing the action plan the clients will use to manage the change.
  • Provide substantive support to consultative and other meetings, conferences, etc., including proposing agenda topics, identifying participants, preparation of documents and presentations, etc.
  • Undertake outreach activities; conduct training workshops, seminars, etc.; give presentations on greening industry.
  • Contribute to fundraising and coordinate activities related to budget and funding (project preparation and submissions, progress reports and financial statements.) and prepare related documents/reports (pledging, work programme, programme budget, etc.).

Work Experience

A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in project management or a related area out of which at least two years of work experience is focused on supporting or implementing sustainable business practices is required. Experience establishing effective partnerships across private and public sectors organizations is desirable. Experience working with organizations based in developing countries is desirable. Knowledge of the UN system is an advantage.


Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in business administration, management, economics or a related field field of study is required. A first level university degree in combination with two additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. Training with a focus on sustainable business practices is an advantage.
