The Green Growth Knowledge Platform (GGKP) is looking for a dynamic communications intern to support its communication and outreach. The deadline to apply is 24 April 2019.

The Green Growth Knowledge Platform is a global partnership of over 58 leading international organizations, research institutes, and think tanks focused on:

  • Collaboratively identifying knowledge gaps in green growth theory and practice;
  • Catalysing knowledge generation to address these gaps; and
  • Sharing and disseminating green growth knowledge. 


The intern will work closely with the Green Growth Knowledge Platform (GGKP) Communications Officer to assist with the maintenance of the GGKP website, preparation of communication material, and organization of online and in-person events.

Daily responsibilities may vary depending on the individual’s background as well as the internship period. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Supporting the development of a range of digital and printed promotional and informational materials, including posters, flyers, brochures and infographics (graphic design skills are an advantage);

  • Drafting and posting news articles and event announcements to the GGKP web platform;

  • Assisting in the management of the GGKP Insights blog, including editing submitted blog posts, sourcing images, and promoting new posts across GGKP’s outreach channels;

  • Assisting in the regular maintenance of the GGKP web platform, including content upload (knowledge of Drupal is an advantage);

  • Assisting in management of GGKP social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn;

  • Supporting the facilitation of GGKP webinars and online meetings (knowledge of GoToWebinar is an advantage); 

  • Supporting the development of a monthly GGKP newsletter;

  • Creating PowerPoint presentations based on provided content; and

  • Suggesting new approaches to knowledge sharing for the GGKP, including those which capitalize on the GGKP’s web platform.


  • Graphic design skills;
  • Outstanding writing abilities in English;
  • Confidence in utilizing social media professionally; and 
  • Familiarity with global environmental issues.
