Do you think your research can help advance innovative policies related to the economy and the environment?

The Smart Prosperity Institute (SPI) "Economics and Environmental Policy Research Network" is seeking proposals for academic research projects in the following research areas:

Proposals can be submitted by faculty, graduate students, or post-doctoral fellows. Both full research proposals (typically not exceeding $40,000, to be completed by March 31st 2020; or up to $60,000 for longer research projects to be completed by March 31st, 2021) and shorter research development proposals (not exceeding $10,000; to be completed by March 31st 2019) will be considered for funding.

Once completed, projects will be invited to present their findings to a policy and academic audience at the annual EEPRN symposium in Ottawa. The travel and accommodation costs for this will be covered separately. For a chance to receive funding to present research results at other conferences, stay tuned for our soon-to-be-launched Graduate Student Travel Award Contest.

In addition, researchers will be required to submit their final research paper to the SPI Working Paper series and write a blog post, highlighting their main research findings and policy implications. This will particularly help funded students enhance their ability to share their results to a range of different audiences, including policymakers, other key policy actors, and the broader public.

Deadline for applications is 15 October 2018 at 11:59 p.m. EST
