Thematic Report on Access and Benefit-Sharing assesses the capacity-building needs for access and benefit-sharing (ABS) of genetic resources in Guyana. It fully assessed the capacity building needs and priorities of the Government of Guyana (GoG) as it seeks to establish protocols and mechanisms for granting access to, and benefit-sharing of its genetic resources.

Technology Needs Assessment Adaptation: Identification and prioritisation of adaptation technologies for Guyana is first of the three reports at prioritising technologies for adaptation in Guyana. It is the outcome of a stakeholder-driven, participatory process to identify and assess technologies that will contribute to national development goals, strengthen Guyana's adaptive capacity against the negative impacts of climate change and prepare the country to take advantage of opportunities which may occur.
Guyana Traditional Knowledge Incorporation into Biodiversity-Assessment Report 2009 presents information and analysis on the assessment of capacity and current preservation aspects at several levels, a review of the current legislation aimed at promoting and protecting traditional knowledge and an inventory on traditional knowledge and sustainable conservation.
National development is of utter importance for countries like Guyana where social and economic needs take precedence over anything else. To reconcile the world's need for forests to kept be intact then Guyana should make deforestation a complementary objective to enhance national development. The paper Creating Incentives to Avoid Deforestation is focussed on how the UNFCCC process can create the incentives to make this complementarity possible.
Produced in 2010 Guyana's REDD+ Governance Development Plan indicated key activities to be carried out, time-frame for implementation and lead agencies responsible for each of the indicated activities. The June 2011 version of the REDD+ Governance Development Plan provides updates from the previous version and it includes progress made on improving forest governance during 2009 and 2010.

Guyana's National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (2012-2020) was prepared through a process involving extensive desk research of documents, meetings with key sector stakeholders, international and national NGOs, the private sector and a national consultation exercise. The plan sets out the vision, the roles, the duties and obligations of the state and its citizens and actions to protect, conserve, use sustainably and share equitably the benefits arising from biodiversity.

Prepared to present it to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (UNCBD) Guyana's Fifth National Report to the Convention on Biological Diversity covers the period 2011 to 2014 and describes actions taken by Guyana to conserve and sustainably manage its diversity and how these actions are contributing to the achievement of the UNBCD strategic goals and the Aichi Biodiversity Targets of the updated strategic plan for biodiversity 2011-2020.
Guyana Climate Change Action Plan seeks to address commitments of Guyana to the Convention by formulating national programme containing measures to mitigate climate change by addressing anthropogenic emissions by sources and removals by sinks of all greenhouse gases not controlled by the Montreal Protocol, and measures to facilitate adequate adaptation to climate change.
