On Tuesday 5 March 2019 from 15:00-16:00 (IST), 10:30-11:30 (CET) ICLEI is hosting a webinar on sustainable freight transport "Introduction to Sustainable Urban Freight Transport".
Globally, urban freight represents up to 25 percent of vehicles, takes up to 40 percent of motorized road space and contributes to up to 40 percent of urban transport-related CO2 emissions.
This is the first webinar in a series of four that will explore topics related to sustainable urban freight transport. In this webinar, the overview of sustainable transportation of goods which gives priority to health, safety, people-centered urban development, and low emissions will be provided.
The webinar will be hosted by Himanshu Raj of ICLEI, with distinguished speakers including:
